City Hall seeks citizens for committees
The City of Camarillo is seeking residents interested in serving on the following commissions, boards and committees.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Fri., Jan. 31.
Applications and forms are available at www.ci.camarillo.ca.us or from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the city clerk’s office at City Hall.
Applicants are asked to provide resumes.

•Four positions are open in the Rent Review Commission, which helps settle rent disputes.
The commission meets on an as-needed basis, generally during afternoon working hours.
All positions serve four-year terms. If appointed, a Statement of Economic Interest form must be completed and filed with the city clerk.
•The Camarillo Ranch Foundation has five positions open for board members. They meet at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month.
The foundation provides fundraising and oversight for the operation, maintenance and restoration of the historic ranch house.
All positions serve three-year terms. Appointed board members must complete and file a Statement of Economic Interest form with the city clerk.
•There are 13 positions available on the Citizen Advisory Committee on Land Use, which advises the Camarillo Community Development Commission and City Council on councilinitiated land-use matters.
The committee meets on an as-needed basis during evening hours. Applicants must be residents of the city. The term of appointment is two years.
•One position is open on the Community Development Block Grant Citizen Loan Committee, which reviews homeowner applications for the rehabilitation of their houses in Camarillo.
Applicants should have backgrounds in banking and real estate, and must be residents of Camarillo. The term of appointment is four years.
•One position is open on the Investment Committee, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the afternoon to review and discuss monthly investment reports, investment strategy, and investment and banking procedures.
Individuals must have experience in accounting, banking or financial investments, and be residents of Camarillo. The term of appointment is two years.
•One position is open on the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board, a public agency to develop, implement and evaluate the service delivery system for the elderly in Ventura County.
The board meets at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of the month in Ventura, and additional meetings are called as necessary.
Applicants must be residents of the city and members of the Camarillo Council on Aging. The term of appointment is two years.
